Tournament Results

Saturday April 26, 2014  Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Eleven Martial Artists from Blind River & Elliot Lake traveled to Sault Ste. Marie ON to compete in the KMAC World Dahn Moo Do Open Martial Arts Championships & Regional Qualifying try outs for Team Canada.  Our Students competed in four categories, open hand forms, weapons forms, self-defense and sparring.

The students who competed were

These students came home  with an amazing 19 metals in total which included

  • 7 Gold Metals
  • 4 Silver Metals
  • 4 Bronze Metals
  • 4 Fourth Place Metals

Congratulations to our two Grand Champions. Katie Brock won Grand Championship for her age division and Anna Cyr took the Grand Championship for Lady's Black Belt.

Most of them put in at least 2.5 hours extra training time a weak, that is above their two hours of regular class training. Some of our students were in very big division, some with as many as 25 competitors.  All were trying to win an invitation to the try outs for Team Canada in Ottawa (long week end in May).

We still have two more tournament before the end of the season.
