Class Descriptions

Cecil's Korean Martial Arts Centre offers a variety of classes to accommodate all age levels and abilities. Students in our classes are taught Korean open hand forms, Korean weapons forms, sparring and Hap-Ki-Do self-defense & techniques (applying kicks, strikes, pressure points and joint locks).

We offer training in two locations; Blind River and Elliot Lake.

Very Little Dragons | Ages 4 to 6

Classes meet twice a week for half an hour. This class teaches focus, taking turns, sharing with others, respect, discipline, and self-control. The student will learn an open hand form, self-defense, basic martial arts, and how to avoid strangers and dangerous situations. Plus having fun.

Class size is limited.

Little Dragons | Ages 6 to 8

Classes meet twice a week for 45 minutes. This class teaches structure to encourage your child in learning new movements and enhancing their basic martial arts ability.

The student will learn an open hand form, self-defense, weapons form, techniques and sparring. Little Dragons also learn personal safety and how to identify and avoid unsafe situations.

Play safe and have fun.

Junior Dragons | Ages 8 to 13

Classes meet twice a week for 45 minutes. The student will learn an open hand form, self-defence techniques, sparring and weapons form.

Students also improve their coordination, balance, and learn respect, discipline and positive attitude.

All of the above, plus much more while having fun and helping them to identify and avoid unsafe situations.

Adult Dragons | Ages 13 and up

Classes meet twice a week for 45 minutes, and offer something for students of all ages and abilities who want to improve their lifestyle.

Our students focus on Korean Martial Arts, open hand forms, weapons forms, self-defense techniques, sparring, while increasing cardio, endurance, strength and flexibility.
